Weekly 3 hour classes in 6 week sessions, either
April 14 - May 12, Tuesday evenings 6pm - 9pm or
April 16 - May 21, Thursday mornings 10am -1pm
Class Description:
These class sessions are in six week segments throughout the year, with periodic breaks for holidays.
All skill levels are welcome, whether you are a beginner or have advanced skills.
Each person works at their own pace and on their own designs.
Instruction is a mix of focused 1:1 and group demonstrations.
Because people of all skill levels are in the same class, there is a rich opportunity for sharing ideas and growing a stimulating creative
community.
My goals as your instructor :
provide a studio with basic tools and equipment
teach both traditional metal fabrication and metal clay techniques, the advantages of each, and how to incorporate them in your designs.
guide you to create the designs of your choice based on your skill set, and as those skills grow, so will your designs.
I focus on a community spirit and value that creativity grows in an environment free of comparison, competition, judgment, and controversy.
I encourage a lightheartedness and to experiment as you learn new skills.
Workshops:
Periodically throughout the year, I will offer all day workshops.
Workshops are almost always intermediate level. The workshops will be on Saturday or Sunday and at times, they will be a two day workshop.
Workshops are topic focused. Everyone will learn the same techniques. As always, your designs will be your own.
