3rd Bench Studio was founded by three Tucson metalsmiths, Annette, Diane, and Doris, who share a belief that creativity flourishes in a nurturing, uplifting community.
Often, artists must find space to create within the confines of home and work. The vision of 3rd Bench Studio is to provide a space to focus, grow and thrive through connection and community.
In this creative space you’ll hear rhythmic hammers and encouraging words, see the glow of torches, and feel the excited focus that comes when artists shape metal into something lasting and meaningful.
Centrally located in Tucson, AZ, 3rd Bench Studio brings together artists to learn, explore, and build skills in metalsmithing, jewelry design, and more. With professional tools, thoughtful and varied instruction, and an atmosphere of encouragement, artists of all skill levels can explore classes, workshops, mentorship, and open studio time in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Here, creativity is shared rather than competitive. Students and instructors work side by side, exchanging knowledge and developing strong foundations and techniques.
